While looking for artists to collaborate with on LittleMudDoor, I came across multiple profiles with limited followers. Not saying people with a good follower count do not deserve the recognition; however, there are several small-scale artists who need more support than they receive.
For a layman the number of followers is proportional to the quality of work. As cliche as it may sound, perception is reality, but how do you change somebody else's way of thinking? Yes, there are likes and favorites available; however not everyone can afford to use these features on a regular basis.
With people getting savvier every day and social media becoming increasingly competitive, more often than not users are forced to play by their rules – this automatically eliminates a lot of small-scale artists from the game in the first place. Even though there are several artists without a large number of followers, their work should be acknowledged by the artistic community.
